GC Gorilla Coatings is a concrete floor coating contractor based on George Street in Westfield, Massachusetts. We grind your existing slab back to bare concrete and rebuild it as a five layer polyaspartic floor.

Road salt is eating your slab right now.
Every winter your car carries brine in off the road and drips it onto bare concrete. It soaks in, freezes, expands, and lifts the top of the slab off in chips. Two or three seasons of that and the floor is pitted, stained and impossible to keep clean.
Coating a healthy slab is cheap. Repairing a spalled one first is not. The floors we price highest are always the ones that waited.

Grinding, crack and spall repair, flake to full refusal and two topcoats are all inside the per foot price. The handful of things that are genuinely extra appear as line items you can read.

Every slab is diamond ground back to open concrete, edges included. It is the slowest and dirtiest part of the job and the only thing that decides whether the floor is still bonded in ten years.

My last floor peeled. Why is this different?
Peeling is a prep failure almost every time. Acid etching and pressure washing leave the slab closed, so the coating sits on top instead of keying into it. We grind every floor with metal bond diamonds until the concrete is open, which is slower, dustier and the reason our floors stay down.
What does it actually cost?
From $7 per square foot installed. Where it lands above that depends on the condition of the slab, how much crack and spall repair it needs, and whether an old coating has to come off first. You get a fixed number in writing before we start.
How long am I without the garage?
One day for most two car garages. We start early, and you can walk on the floor that evening. Cars go back on in 24 to 48 hours depending on temperature.
Can you do this in the winter?
Yes. Polyaspartic cures down to about −10°F, which is exactly why we use it here instead of epoxy. Winter is usually the easiest time of year to get on our schedule.
Is this the same thing as epoxy?
No. Epoxy is brittle, slow to cure and it yellows in sunlight. We run a polyurea basecoat under a polyaspartic topcoat, which is roughly four times stronger, stays flexible when the slab moves, and goes down in a single day.
Do you cover my town?
